As the mastermind behind Manchester's independent Ad Hoc Records label, he knows how to read a room and take audiences on an unforgettable sonic adventure.

Founder of Ad Hoc Records, an independent record label based in Manchester I DJ a variety of genres - from soul, disco, funk, hip-hop to more electronic and downtempo - having played at dozens of bars across the Northern Quarter, Ancoats, Chorlton and Didsbury etc --About Ad Hoc Records-- Ad Hoc Records exists to celebrate music, not genres. With ever-broadening sonic horizons, ours is a home for music with soul. Ad Hoc Records' was established in 2017 with a mission to showcase the most exciting producers and DJs its founder Dave Burch had met in Manchester's music scene to an international audience. In its first five years, music from the label has been stocked in record stores as far afield as Japan and Australia, featured on Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists and spun on the likes of BBC Radio 1/1Xtra/6 Music, NTS and Worldwide FM. The label has a monthly radio show on Reform Radio, and during lockdown hosted a showcase on the 'United We Stream' platform. As well as promoting parties in Manchester institutions Hidden, Night & Day and YES, they've also hosted label events in venues such as corner shops and canal boats.
