Gavin has been playing his award-winning solo request nights in and around Guildford for the last thirty years. His performances are predominantly made up of acoustic covers, along with his own original material, and his gigs are always request shows. He invites the audience to write their favourite songs in the request book, and those pages will become the set list for that night's gig. So the music can range from Bob Dylan to Bob Marley, Neil Young to Neil Finn, David Gray to David Bowie, The Stereophonics to The Stones, The Cure to The Kooks, Razorlight to Radiohead, Coldplay to Pink Floyd .... you get the idea. It means that every gig is different, and they're always hugely entertaining. Gavin never uses backing tracks or drum machines, so every gig is always completely live and acoustic.
