Not Your Average Joe is bringing his eclectic blend of pop, rock and indie covers to St James' STACK in Newcastle. This 20-year-old singer and guitarist from Ponteland has performed over 500 gigs across the North East and beyond, earning a reputation for reliability and a fresh, personal touch on classic hits. From 80s legends like Wham! and Billy Joel to 90s favourites and contemporary indie tracks, his upbeat set spans six decades of chart favourites.

Set within our distinctive shipping container venue right at Gallowgate, you'll enjoy live music on our main stage surrounded by six bars and fantastic street food options. I’m Joe Wallace, a 20 year old professional singer and guitarist, performing under the stage name Not Your Average Joe. I am currently performing self-generated gigs at a variety of venues across the North East; Pubs and Clubs; Private Functions; and Festivals, such as Might Dub Fest, Dinky Dub Fest, Tynedale Beer Festival, Bents Park and Winter Warkfest. I have performed more than 500 gigs in the past 2 years, travelling region wide between Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Teesside, Cumbria and North Yorkshire. I also perform in Spain and Portugal, most recently in Marbella and Alvor. I perform a wide range of upbeat and easy-listening covers from the last 60 years by artists such as; Tears For Fears, Scouting For Girls, David Gray, ELO, Wham!, Meatloaf, Billy Joel & Frankie Valli to name a few. I pride myself on reliability, adaptability and like to create my own personal touch on my covers to stand out from the crowd and keep my performances fresh to suit the audience.
STACK St. James’ Park is a collaboration with Newcastle United Football Club to create a thriving food, drink and entertainment option for those attending matches and events at the stadium, as well as a bustling midweek leisure and social destination. It will be built using repurposed shipping containers around a central plaza and main stage area and is expected to with an initial lifespan of three years as the club explores potential uses for the site. The fan zone will attract people of all ages, with carefully curated events and attractions designed for families. The main stage, complete with a big screen, will be designed to deliver an immersive experience for live entertainment and broadcasting sporting events, while there will be six bars and ten street food units. It will be supported by the club’s front-of-shirt partner, Sela - a pioneering destination and experiences organisation.
