Emerald Thieves. A one-of-a-kind professional party band, formed by musicians from Belfast and Durham, based in the North East of England. An excellent choice for weddings, corporate events, celebration parties and festival clients who need something that stands out from the crowd. Emerald Thieves combine genuine Irish roots with timeless rock, pop, folk and country hits to create a diverse, crowd-pleasing repertoire of songs, expertly delivered with an addictive twist of fiddle. The band has travelled for shows in Ireland, Europe and the Middle East and gained a wealth of experience from headline sets and festival appearances at prestigious music gatherings: Lindisfarne Festival, Stormin' the Castle, Mighty Dub Fest, Keswick Beer Festival, Blyth Live, Gateshead Festival, North East Oyster Festival and Druridge Bay Festival. Emerald Thieves are honoured to have shared event lineups with; Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet), DJ Brandon Block, Heather Small (M People), Gabrielle, BoysLife, LibertyX, Rick Astley, and performed as backing band for famous 1960s rock group The Zombies. Violinist and co-founder Anna Millar performed for Queen Elizabeth II during the Royal visit to Durham Castle in 2012. The band is fully self-contained. Tour-grade, High Definition RCF PA system, LED lighting, and a qualified sound engineer within the band ranks. £10 million of Public Liability Insurance cover as standard. All electrical equipment is certified Portable Appliance Test compliant. (PAT tested)
