The String Beans

The String Beans have a unique repertoire that incorporates classic songs from across the decades, reimagined into new styles from gypsy jazz to ska, rock n roll and swing. Formed in 2014 by guitarists Chris Twigg and Jake Stentiford the plan was to play a mixture of modern rock/pop classics with a gypsy twist. Having quickly made an impact on the Manchester scene with their first live shows, the duo has since expanded into a full 5 Piece Party band. Known for their frantic and heavily improvised live shows mixed with intricately arranged medleys, The String Beans are guaranteed to bring an energetic and unique performance every time. Alongside their touring and busking exploits as a ramshackle party band, The String Beans are also available to hire as a more traditional background music act for restaurants, bars, weddings and other events as something a bit different to the usual function band.
