With over 20 years behind the decks, Alex Farrell is a DJ whose sound knows no boundaries. As a founding member, songwriter, and guitarist of the London Afrobeat Collective, Alex has played a pivotal role in shaping the band’s unique fusion of afrobeat, Latin rhythms, funk, and disco. His DJ sets are a global journey, weaving African and Latin-inspired house and disco with old school party bangers, creating a seamless flow that keeps the dancefloor moving all night long. After a three-month residency at Burdo in Medellín, Colombia, Alex is now back in the UK, splitting his time between Brighton and London. Recently, he’s partnered with labels such as Canopy Records & Afroterraneo Music, working alongside artists like Kiko Navarro, Sumosui, Voilaaa & Bosq, further expanding his reach and creative influence. His first release under his pseudonym Farolinho was released on Kiko Navarro’s afroterraneo label in August 2025 to critical acclaim. From intimate venues to festival mainstages, Alex’s versatility shines. He effortlessly blends old-school and new-school grooves, drawing from a deep knowledge of afrobeat, soul, and dance music. Whether playing at a cocktail bar, beach club, or packed-out festival, Alex brings a distinctive, genre-defying sound that always delivers an unforgettable experience.
