Bergz
About this event
Bergz brings his finely-tuned ear for rhythm and groove to People's Park Tavern. Raised on 90s house and the UK underground scene, Bergz has spent years studying how dance music moves people—from intimate rooms to expansive dancefloors, from Ibiza's balearic sunsets to London's forward-thinking clubs. Expect a considered journey through disco edits, deep house, beatless ambient, and stripped-back techno, all chosen with one principle in mind: trust the groove.
A Hackney-based selector with a genuine feel for the room, Bergz reads the crowd and lets the music speak for itself. Whether spinning forgotten 80s gems, electro, or minimal techno, the focus is always on feeling—how a track works in a space, with the people around you, in that exact moment. This is an evening built on rhythm, bass, and the simple magic of people coming together through sound.

More Information
Raised on 90s house and the UK underground garage scene, Bergz came up through pirate radio, where access was unreliable but the music was uncompromising. Those early years built a lasting connection to rhythm, bass, and groove, and to the way dance music brings people together. Time spent living in Ibiza broadened that foundation. What began as digging for house records evolved into an appreciation for disco, balearic sounds, minimal techno, and left-of-centre club music. Long days, open-air dancefloors, sunset sessions and late nights shifted the focus from genre to feeling — how music works in a space, at a moment, with a crowd. The presented opportunity to enjoy and study the world's best DJ's, masters of the craft, left a long lasting impression. Today, Bergz plays with a wide but considered range, moving between disco edits, deep house, beatless ambient, forgotten 80's gems, electro and stripped-back techno. Whether it’s a small room or a busy dancefloor, the approach is the same: read the room, trust the groove, and let the music do the work.
Nothing foolish about our spring.
