More Information
Midland's own Leah Wilcox is a gritty, romantic glitterball of a songwriter. With an undeniable sense of fun and quirk, her heartfelt lyrics share songs of love and the female experience in her unique Indie Pop-rock style. Star ting at open mics at 15, Leah began borrowing equipment from school for pub gigs until she could buy my first acoustic guitar. Now, at 22, she gigs the covers and function circuit 2x5x a week to fund her releases. Leah has developed a reputation as a rising talent through her live performances encapsulating the mix of authenticity, vulnerability and eccentricity she brings to music. Growing up climbing her curtains in dreams to spiral on silk like P!NK in concert, last summer saw Leah fulfilling her childhood folklore when performing at festivals like TRUCK, Y?NOT Festival, DOT2DOT Nottingham, Moseley Folk.
