About this event

Lone Bear takes the stage at St James Quarter this August, bringing a masterclass in musical storytelling straight from Edinburgh to your evening. The internationally acclaimed solo artist draws from an extraordinary range of influences—early blues, country classics, rock and roll, Latin roots and vintage swing—all woven together on steel resonator guitar, harmonica and soulful vocals. With a career spanning ten years and five continents, Lone Bear's authentic repertoire spans the golden age of American and Latin music, from the 1920s through the 70s, plus spirited originals that showcase his fingerpicking prowess and iconic bottleneck slide technique.

Growing up in Brazil and now based in Scotland, Lone Bear is as much a fine storyteller as he is a musician, sharing rogue tales and infectious hill country blues numbers alongside upbeat country ragtime and the vibrancy of Latin roots music. His recent album "Live in Clarksdale" captures performances recorded in the legendary birthplace of the blues in Mississippi, bringing that authentic Deep South spirit to every show.

Join us at b-EAT at St James Quarter for a night of outstanding live music and great food, where Lone Bear's internationally acclaimed sound will enliven the Galleria and create an unforgettable evening. St James Quarter—Edinburgh's most exciting destination to shop, dine, play and stay.
