About this event

Join us at The Wharf for an evening of live music with Mark Barrett, a Manchester-based singer and guitarist who specialises in indie, pop and pub sing-a-long classics. With a repertoire spanning from 60s and Britpop favourites through to 90s and 00s hits, Mark's eclectic set promises something for everyone. Whether you're after a nostalgic trip down memory lane or discovering fresh takes on timeless songs, this is one night not to miss.

The Wharf offers the perfect setting for an intimate live performance. With its characterful nooks, crannies and cosy alcoves throughout the building, you'll find yourself in a welcoming atmosphere whether you settle downstairs near the bar—where you can enjoy a selection of cask ales, fine wines and over fifty malts—or upstairs in our restaurant area. Our frequently changing seasonal menus are available if you'd like to make an evening of it, and our large terrace with views over the canal basin is a lovely spot to arrive early and soak up the Castlefield surroundings.

Come along and enjoy great live music, quality food and drink, and the distinctive charm of The Wharf in Manchester city centre.

About the Artist

I’m a singer and guitarist specialising in indie, pop and pub sing-a-long classics based in central Manchester.

About the Venue

Although the Wharf is a large building, there are innumerable nooks and crannies so you can find cosy, intimate rooms and alcoves, or more buzzy, dynamic areas if you prefer. Downstairs is more pub service in style, with several cask ales on the bar, a decent wine list with something for everyone, forty gins and over a fifty malts. Upstairs is more restaurant, with full table service. Our chefs develop really cracking menus which change frequently to reflect the seasons. We have a large terrace which is a really popular place to eat in Manchester with stunning views out over the canal basin.
