Mat Hook is an English singer-songwriter, re-entering the live and recorded music scene after being the frontman of Sheffield indie rock band ‘Kartica’ between 2008-2014. Those days saw sold out gigs, international press and celebrity endorsements. Returning after a decade away, with live band shows and his first solo studio material. 4th Single 'Suspended Belief' is out now! Mat has been featured on BBC 6 Music, Radio X and BBC Radio Sheffield amongst others. Along with sold out headline gigs of 300+ capacity in Sheffield. He also performs regularly at Football fan zones, including Sheffield Wednesday & Sheffield United and also The Euro 2024 fan park in Sheffield, where Mat sang to over 2,000 people after England’s games. Mat performs as an acoustic duo or a full electric live 4/5 piece band. And can play full cover sets of 60’s/70’s/80’s/90’s/00’s pop/rock/indie. He has also performed at Rock N Roll Circus and Doncaster Music Festival alongside nationally known acts.
