This talented 20-year-old singer and guitarist delivers upbeat renditions of classics spanning six decades, from 80s and 90s hits to indie and britpop favourites. Drawing on a repertoire that includes artists like Tears For Fears, David Gray, ELO and Frankie Valli, Joe crafts his own personal touch on every performance, keeping the energy fresh and perfectly suited to his audience.
Based in Ponteland and a seasoned performer across the North East, Not Your Average Joe has honed his craft through hundreds of live gigs at venues, festivals and private functions throughout the region. His reliability and adaptability make him a favourite for both intimate nights out and larger celebrations, ensuring every set feels tailored to the room.

I’m Joe Wallace, a 20 year old professional singer and guitarist, performing under the stage name Not Your Average Joe. I am currently performing self-generated gigs at a variety of venues across the North East; Pubs and Clubs; Private Functions; and Festivals, such as Might Dub Fest, Dinky Dub Fest, Tynedale Beer Festival, Bents Park and Winter Warkfest. I have performed more than 500 gigs in the past 2 years, travelling region wide between Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Teesside, Cumbria and North Yorkshire. I also perform in Spain and Portugal, most recently in Marbella and Alvor. I perform a wide range of upbeat and easy-listening covers from the last 60 years by artists such as; Tears For Fears, Scouting For Girls, David Gray, ELO, Wham!, Meatloaf, Billy Joel & Frankie Valli to name a few. I pride myself on reliability, adaptability and like to create my own personal touch on my covers to stand out from the crowd and keep my performances fresh to suit the audience.
A sophisticated, laid back bar / bistro / lifestyle store in Darras Hall. Over 21's on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays after 7pm unless visiting for a dinner reservation with other guests over 21.
