A Birmingham Conservatoire graduate, Rafael has honed his craft performing alongside some of Europe's most respected artists and brings a professional, reliable presence to every set. His unique approach of combining live saxophone with DJ sets means you'll experience genuine musical creativity, not just a backing track – expect smooth transitions between genres including chillout, Ibiza hits, house, electronic music, funk, R&B and contemporary jazz.

Rafael sax is a UK based saxophonist and based saxophonist & DJ that has a vast range of experience in the UK club scene performing for over 10 years at weddings, parties, large functions events, festivals and clubs across the UK and worldwide. Since his start on the Dj & sax scene in 2018 after having graduated from the Birmingham Conservatoire, Rafael Sax has acquired and developed an unique style, reputation and overall trust from the many DJs and clients he has worked for, which makes him a very reliable and strong candidate when considering a saxophonist to play alongside Dj’s, percussionist/bongo or to hire solo as a DJ & Sax improvising alongside all genres of music such as chillout music, Ibiza hits, club, dance, house, electronic music, disco, funk, R&B, 80’s and Electronic jazz. He has performed alongside some of the most prestigious UK and Europe’s artists and some of his most relevant performances includes playing alongside 12 times Grammy-nominated artist and holder of one Grammy for “Best Gospel Song” in 2011 saxophonist Kirk Whalum which became famous for his feature on Witney Houston’s track “I Will Always Love You”. Finally Rafael Sax has worked alongside many Dj’s at some of the most prestigious UK venues, clubs and clients such as BT, Grosvenor House Suites (Mayfair), All Bar One, Bierkeller, Dirty Martini, Revolution de Cuba, NEC (National Exhibition Centre), ICC (International Convention Centre), Coventry Transport Museum, Doncaster Racecourse, Newmarket Racecourse. Most recently he has been a resident DJ & Sax in many Ibiza-style parties, clubs and festivals in UK and abroad in Ibiza, Portugal, Majorca, Greece and France.
