About the Artist

Solo acoustic singer-guitarist based in Lancashire, playing pubs, bars and live music venues across the North West. Expect a mix of well known indie, rock, pop and Britpop from Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, Blur, Foo Fighters, Coldplay and The Verve, alongside soul, blues and acoustic reworkings of songs by Sia, Sabrina Carpenter, Blackstreet and more. I also perform my own original acoustic songs, with a folk/singer-songwriter feel. Sets can start relaxed and build into more upbeat, recognisable songs and singalongs as the room gets going. I also use live looping on selected tracks to add rhythm and energy, including unusual acoustic versions of songs by Basement Jaxx, Aaliyah and Blackstreet. Comfortable reading the room and tailoring the set to the crowd, whether it’s a chilled Sunday afternoon or a lively Saturday night. Self-contained with PA, microphone and equipment. “The first thing you notice about Robert Sutton’s music is the songwriting. This man knows a tune.” — Ian Parker, For Folk’s Sake
