About the Artist

Born from a first gig on 16/12/2015 and a shared obsession with Vulfpeck’s funk track ‘1612’, Edinburgh based Sixteen12 mix feel-good grooves with heartfelt songwriting and the electric energy of a band that simply lives for the next gig. * Fronted by Damian Casey-Boyce (vocals) and powered by Gareth Walker (guitar), Callum Richardson (drums), Ally Kelly (guitar), and Craig Hunter (bass), the Edinburgh five-piece have spent the past decade playing anywhere and everywhere, from Morocco to Belfast, weddings, birthdays and corporate events - building their reputation on powerhouse live sets, big melodies, and a style that blends Rock, Pop, Folk & More into something unmistakably their own. Their debut album, Welcome Ever Smiles, was written on the wild west coast of Scotland in a borrowed house overlooking the tiny hamlet of Lochailort. Over 4 late-night writing sessions, surrounded by staggering views and a Shakespeare inscription carved above the fireplace (“Welcome ever smiles”), the band found the spark for tracks like “The Trip” and their uplifting title track. The album quickly earned praise, with East Coast FM’s Elmo Morrison calling it “an upbeat mixture of pop, reggae and folk that gets you dancing… showing real promise for the future.” When they’re not writing, you’ll catch Sixteen12 lighting up Edinburgh — especially on Friday nights at Belushi’s, where they play sets of originals and iconic covers that keep you dancing. Proud of their roots and hungry for what’s next, Sixteen12 are already deep into work on their second album. Their latest single ‘All the time’ was released on Friday 14th November 2025 - Available on all platforms. Their next single release ‘Kings of it All’ is scheduled for mid 2026!
