About the Artist

Stephen F. Mone is a singer/songwriter from County Armagh, Northern Ireland. Armed with a guitar, some good-humoured small talk and a great big smile. How on Earth did he end up in Yorkshire? He'll take you on the very same journey if you want to find out. Self-released under own label Unctious Records; Stephen F. Mone is impossibly shoehorned into the category of singer/songwriter and acoustic music despite conceiving his musical voice in the late noughties boom of guitar-centric artists like Two Door Cinema Club and Arctic Monkeys. His debut EP 'Here's the Thing' has been described as effervescent and eclectic by BBC Radio Ulster's Across The Line show. A musical 'renaissance man' his songs straddle heartfelt confessions albeit through a tongue-in-cheek kaleidoscope showcased alongside The Fratellis whom he supported on tour in 2021 Stephen F. Mone's songs benefit from a healthy knowledge of his guitar, sieved through countless record compilations. Stephen currently writes, records and performs in South Yorkshire, itching to play his music live when he's not cutting his teeth on covers with his loop pedal at his feet, trying to recreate the pop perfection he was raised on.
