Set in the magnificent surroundings of the historic former St Marks railway station on Lincoln High Street, STACK's festival-sized stage and excellent sightlines create the perfect backdrop for an evening of Motown, Northern Soul, Blues, Funk and Disco. We are The Soul Solution, a 9 piece band based in Lincolnshire and now celebrating 25 years of performing all over the UK. The band comprises of both male and female vocalists and features a 3 piece horn section for that full funky soul sound! Our set consists of 2 x 45 minute sets plus encores if requested (always). Optional extras include a DJ set before, during and after the performance. We can guarantee to get any party dancing to soul classics from 5 decades including Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Four Tops, Amy Winehouse and many more… Motown, Northern Soul, Blues and Funk are just a few genres of soul we play to our audiences. Situated on Lincoln High Street this venue holds 2,162 people. Its an indoor venue in the old St Marks railway station. The St Marks railway station was the first in Lincoln. It was opened by the Midland Railway in 1846. The platforms were later demolished and it was 1985 when it closed completely. The main station was incorporated into a shopping complex before been taken over by Argos. The building will now reopen as Stack venue The venue is a two floor operation with a festival size stage with excellent viewing of the main stage area. The venue supplies sound and lighting along with a sound tec for all gigs.
