Tom Ashbrook and the *Bill and the Preachers Trio’ This unique trio made up from Tom Ashbrook (keys, bass, vocals) Mike halls (guitar) and Ross Higginson (drums) have developed a new and more interactive way of trio playing. Playing a massive repertoire from soul and Motown classics to 70s/80s funk and disco floor fillers at the same time being able to remix and mashup New and old tunes on the fly. This quickly gets the crowd noticing they’re in for something special musically. Playing intimate jazz bars to lively fully sold out Saturday night venues Bill and the preachers can entertain any audience. Individually the band members have played world wide touring with other projects and are often in the studio writing and producing albums all as signed artists. As a trio they come together purely as a passion project to create the best atmosphere. Mike with his incredible lyrical melodic inventions, Tom covering three instruments signing two tunes mashed together and a world class percussion and beat masterclass from Ross Higginson the trio remain as the most unique and talented outfit in the city
