Top Tips for Artists When Using The GigPig App

The GigPig Artist App helps artists take control of their live music careers in one place, and we’ve created this guide to highlight all of the powerful features.

From securing bookings to managing gigs and getting paid, GigPig designed our artist app with you in mind for a seamless live music booking experience on your phone.

Gone are the days of chasing down promoters, sending endless DMs, or waiting for a lucky break. GigPig connects you directly with venues looking to book top talent, making the process fast, transparent and in your control.

Of course, the app brings gig offers directly to your fingertips, but this guide will show you how to unlock its full potential.

Take control with the Gigs tab

The ‘Gigs’ tab is where your bookings live, and understanding how each section works can help you stay on top of your calendar and maximise opportunities.

Enquiries

All new offers from venues land here first, but you haven’t responded yet, so act fast! Tap ‘I’m Available’ or ‘Reject’ to let the venue know your availability. If you leave offers unanswered, your notifications will be paused, and you’ll stop receiving alerts and notifications about new gig offers until you’ve cleared your Enquiries tab. This means missed opportunities, so you must respond quickly!

Responded

You’ve let the venue know you’re available, and now it’s over to them to review their options and confirm the right fit for their event. If selected, you’ll receive a booking confirmation directly in the app.

Under Min

These offers fall below your minimum fee but are still available to accept if the gig works for you, as we would never want to hide any gig offers from you.

Booked

You’re all booked! These are your confirmed gigs, with all the key info like artist instructions, timings, and briefs in one place.

Stay One Beat Ahead With Push Notifications

Notifications are here to help you stay organised and in control so you never miss a booking, enquiry, or important update. Turn on your push notifications so you can stay booked and stay notified.

Here’s how GigPig keeps you in the loop:

Daily Summary

Each morning, you’ll receive a Daily Summary showing any outstanding gig offers in your Enquiries tab, along with the total value of those gigs. It’s a quick way to see what’s on the table and how much potential income is waiting for your response, helping you prioritise and stay in control of your bookings.

Real-time alerts

Get notified when you receive a new enquiry or a confirmed booking.

Last-minute gig alerts

Take advantage and get booked for any last-minute opportunities.

Gig reminders

We’ll remind you 48 hours before the gig, helping you stay prepared and ready to deliver.

Instant updates

Whether a venue cancels or you do, you’ll be notified straight away.

Use Request to Play to show venues you’re ready

Looking to perform at a new venue? The ‘Request to Play’ feature lets you put yourself forward for gigs that perfectly match your musicianship. Head to the Venues tab, browse the listings and tap Request To Play.

Even if you don’t hear back directly, venues can see who’s requested to play, meaning you stay on their radar and increase your visibility next time they're booking.

Manage Multiple Lineups With Ease

Can you gig as more than one act? Whether you’re an acoustic soloist, a DJ, or part of a band, GigPig lets you create multiple artist profiles with ease.

Through the Profiles tab, set up each lineup with its bio, images, genre tags and setlists, which gives you more chances to get gigs across different formats.

Your calendar and invoices will reflect all your profiles. You can switch between them to easily view individual bookings or view everything together to manage your calendar and invoices more efficiently.

To toggle between profiles, just tap your profile picture in the top-right corner of the app.

Strengthen Your Profile With Setlists And Media

Your artist profile is your first impression, so make it count!

When setting up your profile, you’ll be prompted to list your Top 5 songs, but why stop there? Make sure to upload a setlist that reflects as much of your style and experience as you can, not just five songs.

You’ve got the option to embed media, which gives venues a clear sense of what to expect from your performance. If you’re a DJ, you can add SoundCloud or Mixcloud sets to showcase your mixes. Or if you’re a live musician, easily embed a Spotify playlist with the top tracks you cover or originals you play live. You can also embed your YouTube and Instagram videos from recent performances, giving venues the perfect idea of the energy you’d bring to the space.

The more complete your profile, the more confident venues will be in booking you, so take the time to show them what you’re about.

Stay On Top Of Your Bookings With The Calendar

The GigPig calendar gives you a real-time view of every booking, cancellation and update, so you can stay organised and never miss a gig.

Every booking, cancellation or time change is instantly reflected in your GigPig calendar. With colour-coded statuses like Pending, Awaiting Sign-off, or Completed, you’ll always know where you stand.

You can filter your view by date, status, or profile, and toggle between lineups for full visibility. Managing your gig life has never been easier.

The calendar keeps everything in one place, making it easier to plan and stay on top of your schedule.
