What types of classical artists can you book on GigPig?

GigPig gives you access to a variety of performers who play classical music, depending on the atmosphere you want to create. Find string musicians to book, solo or small ensembles, ideal for creating elegant ambience in smaller spaces.

It’s also worth thinking about the sound you want your musicians to provide. If you’re looking for a more traditional performance, many string musicians for hire can play a wide range of classical pieces that have stood the test of time.

Alternatively, many classically trained artists can perform their take on modern tracks. This lets your audience enjoy a traditional sound with songs they will easily recognise.

How much does it cost to hire artists who play classical music?

There’s no one-size-fits-all price when it comes to booking classical musicians. Just as you’ll find a range of prices when booking a band or saxophone player, several factors affect the cost of hiring a string quartet, harpist, or other string performer.

Location: Your geographical location can affect the overall price, with fees typically being higher in London than elsewhere in the UK.

Number of performers: Hiring a string quartet or larger ensemble will cost more than booking a solo artist, simply due to there being more persons.

Set length: The longer the set list, the higher the charge.

The date: If you want to book classical music artists on a bank holiday or a special occasion such as New Year’s Eve, you may find there’s a higher fee due to popular demand.
